Walk to end Alzheimer'sWhat is the Walk to End Alzheimer’s All About?

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is an all ages, all-abilities event. Sign-in opens at 7:30 am on November 3. The walk is 3 miles long, starting at the Amalie Arena at 9:30 am and then following Bayshore Drive. Those who can’t participate in the walk can support an individual walker or the FPCB team with a donation. We raised nearly $5000 in 2017!

3 Easy Ways to be a part of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

  • Join Our Team:  Those who want to walk on November 3 must register online or with a paper form.  You do not have to pay to register. Click to Join our Team.
  •  Donate online: Go to the same link: Choose “Donate”  and donate to our team or your favorite walker.
  • Visit the registration and donation table: Available Sunday mornings in Mauldin Hall at both church services starting on October 7- October 28.

On the day of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

  • Registration begins 7:30AM
  • Step Off at 9:30AM

Community services hours awarded to students who create walk teams, fundraise and/or volunteer!

Participants in the walk are encouraged to individually remember and honor loved ones who have been diagnosed with dementia as they walk :and to come together with our church family to help fight the escalation of the disease in future generations. Teens can receive credit for community service by participating in the Walk or volunteering to help with the walk on November 3 at Amalie Arena.
